Contacted a Travel Agent

I finally went to see an agent today. I won't book on Royal Caribbean again. They make it so difficult. First, I thought I was booking directly with them. After they take my deposit and are confused about how to do it to begin with they send me to a travel agency in Puerto Rico. That agency tells me that I have to find a local agency. Ok, no problem because I can barely understand the lady I am talking to. I show up yesterday at a local agency and that agent has to draft a letter that I have to sign so that the Puerto Rico agency will relinquish rights to the booking. Which makes no sense. They won't handle the booking so why is there anything to give up???

RCI really needs to work on that snafu they have going. I understand the whole International angle. But for Pete's sake - the Virgin Islands is not International. We use the same postal service and we sure pay Uncle Sam most of our money! Well, hopefully it will get done. I had the agent switch my balcony room to one room over so that it would be directly across from the my other room. Final payment isn't due until the middle of August but I wanted her to finalize it yesterday. She took my credit card info and said she would email me when it was complete. Hmmm...... tap tap tap.....still waiting.

I leave for the states in 4 weeks but a few things have come up recently that makes that trip not nearly so appealing. We will see.

Hi Island,
I have a similar issue with A.A. Tours, I wish that I didn't have to deal with them either!

your blog is going great!
